RURAL MODERN GLASS DOCUMENTARY

Introducing the Glass Documentary: A Collaborative Journey with Rural Modern Glass Studio

We are thrilled to present the Glass Documentary, an immersive project in partnership with the pioneering Rural Modern Glass Studio – India’s first dedicated glass studio, founded by the visionary Arjun Rathi. Located in the heart of India, this studio serves as a hub for international artists, offering them a space to create stunning glass art pieces and engage in hands-on workshops.
Through this documentary, we aim to showcase the exceptional beauty, versatility, and craftsmanship of glass as an art form. Our goal is to bring the intricate process of glassmaking to the forefront, celebrating the global exchange of creativity while highlighting the rich potential of glass as both an artistic medium and a cultural craft.
Join us in exploring the world of glass art, as we invite you to experience the intricate fusion of skill, creativity, and vision that shapes this remarkable art form.
Featuring the delicate, breathtaking creations of artist Erin Neff Garmezy, renowned for her intricate miniature glass leaves and flowers.

Grant Garmezy’s massive glass elephant tusk ties into the overarching message of the Glass Documentary by highlighting the delicate balance between nature’s grandeur and the fragility of the world

The Blue Ganesh, a groundbreaking collaboration between Grant Garmezy and Evan Schauss, is a stunning testament to innovation and artistry in glassmaking. This captivating sculpture, depicting the Hindu deity Ganesh, was crafted in an unprecedented 14-hour process, a feat never before attempted.

Capturing Grant Garmezy's White Tiger in transparency and lightness of the glass against the solid, sculptural form of the animal created a dynamic tension that I aimed to convey in every shot.
